A new look for the Complement Design collection by Calligaris, designed by young Italian and foreigner designers with a fresh and modern point of view on design.
Calligaris is an historical Italian design brand producing furniture and design complements since 1923. Over the last 95 years the name managed to expand itself to 100 countries, with over 620 shops and in 3 Flagship stores. The CODE collection is Calligaris’ young and smart side.
Give the collection a renewed and modern look, coherent with the new Calligaris brand’s restyling. From the logo design to the packaging applications, through the development of a graphical system, the aim was to make the collection’s materials distinguishable from the regular Calligaris products.
We developed a dotted pattern that, in combination with the use of a strong neon red Pantone, made the system visibile, distinguishable, unique. The adoption of raw grey cardboard for the packagings and the printed matters, as long as guaranteeing a strong contrast among the designs and the supports gives to the materials a sophisticated look while bringing this brand closer to the international design panorama.
Development of a dotted pattern system, adoptable on packagings, communication materials and retail areas; creation of a materials and color palette making the collection distinctive; definition of a precise style in the product’s photography and narration.
