/L’Aperitivo Sardo. A new wine-based bitter from Sardinia, faithful to its origins and that hides a secret recipe. Let’s get twisted.
More than a century ago the engineer Sella and the Lawyer Mosca, both from Piedmont, went to Sardinia and after falling in love with the wilderness of her Nature and her strong character, they decided to establish Sella&Mosca. In 1899, after a reclamation, this land started to receive the beauty of the vines, the perfumes and the colors of the grapes beginning a new life. Today Sella&Mosca can count 550 hectares of vineyards and a huge range of different products. An immense estate, one of the largest in Europe.
Among the different type of wines, Sella&Mosca decided to create a new product and start a new adventure. They called Baldo Baldinini, a famous creator of essences and aromas known for his amazing secret recipes, and ask him to study a new bitter called “L’aperitivo sardo”, suitable to be drunk straight or to create cocktails.
The goal was to combine the strong personality of Sardinia with the charm of a product realized with a secret recipe. We used an extra-size bold typography, with a vintage tone of voice that winks at the screams of an old newspaper but with a contemporary aesthetic. Then we let the label twists around the bottle creating an unexpected visual approach, enriched by different features. A specific custom machine has been created for labeling.
Create a label with a strong personality, unpredictable, with a twist, thought for a product capable of standing out both for its essence and for its roots.
